I am a certified speech-language pathologist (SLP) with over ten years of experience working with the paediatric population in Australia and the United States. I have a Bachelor of Arts (Honours in Linguistics) and Diploma of Modern Language (French) from The University of Melbourne and a Master of Speech Pathology from La Trobe University.

I started my SLP career working in the Victorian Department of Education’s Student Support Services. I then moved to New York City where I worked on staff at The Parkside School in Manhattan for nearly six years. Upon returning to Australia in mid-2021 I took up a leadership role at an established private practice in Melbourne. As the Schools Service Lead, I coordinated allied health services (speech-language pathology and occupational therapy) at 17 schools across the city.

At the beginning of 2023 I decided to draw on my many years of experience in schools to offer private and consultative services. I truly believe that we can have a lasting impact on the lives of people with language-based learning needs when we empower the people who are part of their everyday lives. In the preschool and school settings, I also feel that we can best serve the needs of our students when we bring multiple perspectives to the table and problem-solve as a team. I understand the important role that SLPs play on the school team and have seen first-hand how, when the SLP perspective is sought out, the educational and social needs of students can be optimised.

I love being an SLP because I can use clinical experience, critical thinking, creativity and a little bit of comedy to help others communicate.
