Director and Speech-Language Pathologist
I am an executive functioning-focused speech-language pathologist (SLP) with nearly 15 years of experience working in schools in Australia and the United States.
I enjoy partnering with innovative, inclusive schools to implement effective executive functioning supports for all students.
I help schools to:
increase staff and student awareness of executive functioning skills and demands;
identify opportunities for explicit executive functioning teaching;
implement executive functioning supports on individual student, class and whole-school levels.
I understand the important role that SLPs play on the school team and have seen first-hand how, when the SLP perspective is sought out and an executive functioning lens is adopted, the educational and social needs of students can be optimised.
I love being an SLP because I can use clinical experience, critical thinking, creativity and a little bit of comedy to help others feel connected.

Why Cognosco? Well, it means “to gain knowledge, enquire, learn” in Latin. I believe we are all lifelong learners. I love to continue my own professional learning while sharing knowledge with others.
